its set in 1922 in Manhattan and its about a girl who travils to new york to find love but she's looking for some one rich. so she gets a job as a stenographer and she's trying to get with her rich boss when she starts to fall in love with jimmy this guy she meets who is less than dirt he's got nothin. but shes torn between love or money. in the end she goes with love and it turns out that jimmy has money and lots of it he's the ceo of the company she was working for. its really good it probably doesnt from my over view cuz theres a lot more going on in the show but its far too much to write lol sorry =/ if you get a chance you should listen to the soundtrack (the original broadway cast) or look it up on youtube
